Chitinous exoskeleton. Usually paired segmental jointed appendages. Compound eyes are usual, althought oceli are not uncommon. Haemocoelomic body cavity. Open circulation. Excretion by coxal gland, green gland, or Malpighian tubules. Respiration by gills or Tracheae of various kinds. Examples: Prawn, crab, Sacculina, Argulus
