Oncovirus types
Oncovirus may be DNA viruses or RNA viruses.
A. Onco DNA Viruses:
Parvo virus: Produces tumour in Rat.
Adeno virus: Cancerous to monkeys, Guineapig.
Herpes virus: Lymphoma, cervix cancer in Man.
Pox virus: Benign tumour in man and Monkey.
B. Onco RNA virus:
Rous Sarcoma: Cancer in Foul
Rous associated virus: Cancer in Foul
and
Murine Sarcoma: Cancer in Rat
Murine Leukemia virus: Cancer in Rat
