Mendelian principles are not followed in the following cases:

1. Linkage: Here two or more genes tend to transmit in one gametes and do not segregated.

2. Sex- linked Inheritance: They tend to get inherited along with sex-chromosomes.

3. Maternal Inheritance: Inheritance only of some maternal features.
