1. Diploblastic with Mesoglea separating the two layers.
  2. Single body cavity, Coelenteron.
  3. Nematocysts present in the Cnodoblast cells.
  4. Coelenteron  opens to the exterior through a single oral cavity.
  5. Polymorphism present. Primary morphs are Polyp and Medusa.
  6. Alteration of generation present.
