An organism usually an animal, causing damage to man’s crops, animals or possessions, but in widest sense any animal or plant which harm or potent to cause damage to man, his animals, crops or possessions or even cause him annoyance, quality for the term pest. It is accepted that pest status is reached when there is a 5-10 % less in yield of a particular crop.
